Hi, it’s been some time since I updated this blog. I have been away for a while celebrating my time with my family. The important thing to me has always been my family and we should cherish these times together. Now, let us look at a topic that I like to talk about and that is the language for baby shower invitations.

The biggest question that most parents asked would be: What is should be the language used for baby showers invitations? Should I use the language as would a mother speaks? Or should I use the REAL baby language? Well, depending on your personality, you both “extremes” can be used.

In view of the above, allow me to share some principles in writing your invitations:
- Avoid abbreviations: Spell it out, make it clear. Abbreviations can confuse your guests.

- Have specific gifts mentioned: Don’t be shy about it. Just tell them what you (or your baby) wants. It’s better to say it out when to realized that you have been given 5 strollers at the end of the baby showers!

- Have a RSVP, and be specific: “R.S.V.P.” is short for the French “respondez s’il vous plait” which translates to “please respond”. There are two ways to RSVP. You are to respond if you are attending, or respond if you are NOT attending. Some guests thinks that RSVP is only for not going, and so they ended up appearing at the party “uninvited”. So, be sure to write specific how they could RSVP. In short, write it as “Please RSVP if you are attending” instead of “Please RSVP”.

- Give a short programme of the party: This is prepare the parents on what to expect. If you expect the party to be 3 hours long, please specify it so that the parents can prepare 3 hours of stuff for their babies.

OK, that’s all from me so far. Be sure to enjoy the party!

A new life is something to celebrate, and the best way to do this is to throw a baby shower. This is the event that everyone in the family can take part in. Small gestures of excitement from the grandparents and the close friends of the couple, as well as the would-be parents, can be highlighted in the baby shower. To start planning ahead, you can try looking for cheap baby shower invitations.

Invitations put the word out about your baby shower. You send them out after all the planning so that guests will know where and when the party will be. Not many people put forth a lot of effort into creating baby showers. But if you truly want to make your baby shower party a success, you must take the invitations seriously.

A cute baby shower invitation does not need to be expensive to be spectacular. Even with all the trimmings, there are ways to keep the costs low. There are some cheap baby shower invitations that can be ordered through a catalog. Here are some tips to keep the costs low and still come up with the cutest baby shower invitations.

Order in Bulk

It doesn’t matter if your guest list is set at 20 people, order in bulk. Bulk prices may involve ordering fifty or a hundred invites, which may seem too many if you only expect a few guests. But doing the math will tell you that ordering in bulk is better because of the discounts.

Printable Stickers

One of the costs that you can avoid is the printing on the envelope of each individual baby shower invitation. The printing press may charge extra to have your guests’ names and addresses included in the printing process. It’s cheaper to order blank envelopes to go with the invites. You can simply print out the names using your own computer on sticker paper. Cut out the names and addresses, and stick the print out on the invite.

Find Downloadable Templates Online

The internet is rife with sites that offer invitation templates. Some websites offer generic invitations for free download. If you have a printer, you only have to spend for the ink you will use to print out all the invites. The good thing about doing this is you can print out more if your guest list suddenly swells at the last minute. The amount of colored ink spent during the printing is no laughing matter, but this can be a lot cheaper than ordering from a printing press.

As the new mommy or daddy, you need to be on top of things when it comes to your baby shower. You need to consider who will be attending, how your guests will get to the venue, and what kind of food to serve them. A baby shower party is all about you and your baby. People come from all over to wish you well in your new life as a parent. This means every aspect of your party must be close to perfect.

Baby Shower Invitation

The first order of business is to make sure your invites are great. A great invite contains all the information needed for a person to find the place of the party on his own. There should be no mistake in the date of the party, as well as the venue address.

Online shopping for baby shower invites can be the most convenient way to go about this. Most merchants can ship the invitations to your location in less than a week. Some ecommerce sites promise to send you the invites in 24 hours if you pay extra. You can further personalize your invites using special tools on the merchant’s website. Moreover, you can make your own designs to go with the general theme of the invitation.

Set the Date

Set the date on a day where many of your guests will be off work. Week day parties are generally not recommended because many of your guests wouldn’t be able to attend. They need to prioritize work, and only those who are currently on leave will be able to attend. For some people, taking a leave of absence to attend a party is out of the question. Maybe a few family members can sacrifice a day of earning, but don’t expect everyone you invite to do the same. If you set the party on a Saturday, your guests will be able to prioritize your party.

Seating and Menu

Most of those who will attend your party will be adults. A baby shower is for the baby, but most of the guests will be adults. It’s ironic, but it’s true. Since other moms may be bringing in old toys or clothes, make sure you come up with ways for everyone to eat and enjoy without tripping over these things. Prepare a table for baby shower gifts and a guest table where people can write down their name and addresses. You will want to send thank you notes later on. Buffet style parties are recommended for baby showers. This way, your guests will be free to mingle and have fun during the party.
