Need some wordings for your baby shower invitations? Here are some that I can think of. (Italics are my comments)

Title of the baby shower invitation:

  • Oh Baby! (Yes, there’s a pun intended)
  • You’re invited to a Baby Shower! (Simple and straight forward)
  • It’s a Baby Shower! (Yet another simple title)
  • Yeah Baby! (A hippy way to start)
  • Baby Cakes! (If you have a baby showers with tons of good food or you are just a good chef, this is a nice starter)
  • The forecast says there’s a baby shower on the way! (An intelligent way to start the title)
  • A baby is a gift from God (Nice to start with if it is a Christian based baby shower, and the pastor is coming!)
  • Come celebrate a gift of love from heaven above (Similar to the above)
  • Come wish [BABY NAME] a Happy Labor Day at her baby shower! (If you want to add the baby’s name, this is a good one)
  • Come wish the best of baby blessings to [BABY NAME]! (Another example of using a baby’s name)
  • Come celebrate the sweet miracle of adoption at [BABY NAME] Baby Shower! (Yet another example of using a baby’s name)
  • [BABY NAME] is doubly blessed! (Ditto)
  • Let’s celebrate [BABY NAME]‘s 3rd week on Earth! (Ditto)

A baby shower is a time of celebration. It is when family members and friends gather in one place to eat, be merry and exchange stories. It is not strange to find grandparents and would-be grandparents sharing anecdotes of their own about their children during the baby shower. Moms come with their own kids to share their bounty of old toys and clothes.

The organizer of a baby shower is usually the mother-to-be and the father-to-be. But in the occasion that the baby shower is a surprise party, the sister of the would-be-mom does the organizing. There are elements that must be considered. Are the friends and family members ready to attend? Is the date of the baby shower convenient for everyone? These questions need to be addressed before the actual week of the party.

Baby shower invitations play a huge role in the process of throwing a baby shower. Invitations should go out a month or so before the baby shower. Since it’s better to send these invites to friends and family members living away through snail mail, it is better to send them way ahead of time. A baby shower invitation should be especially received, and so it’s better to use actual paper than the digital counterpart (email). Sure, there are those that use email to invite people, but if you want to make the baby shower invite more memorable, use actual paper.

With just this piece of cardboard paper, you can convey so many feelings to those you wish to invite to the shower. Poems can bring about so many emotions, including feelings of gentleness and happiness. It would be great to incorporate the feelings from a special poem into your baby shower. You can add more meaning to the act of giving something for the baby, and sharing your excitement with your friends and family members.

A good type of poem to add to your baby shower invitation is the limerick. Limericks are small snippets that contain rhyme and a specific structure. The message should be witty, funny and fun to read. The limerick can be engraved or embossed on the front of the invitation for maximum exposure.

A poem of love written by the parents for the baby can also be used on the invitation. The poem can convey excitement and happiness at the coming of the baby. Everyone can join in and add lines to the poem before the printing. The poem need not be too long initially, so that everyone can add their sentiments.

Whether you are planning a baby show or another special occasion, the invitations are a key part of the planning process. Without the good invitations, your guests will not know the specifics of the event, or even the date, so getting those invitations out on time is a critical part of the party planning process.

Unfortunately, the quality of those invitations can be lost in the shuffle as you try to get all the other details of the party worked out. It is all too easy to succumb to the temptation to simply get those invitations out the door as quickly as possible, with little thought to creativity or style. But rushing the party invitations can be a big mistake, especially for baby showers.

Those seemingly unimportant pieces of paper are, to many people, cherished family memories, and it is up to you as the party planner to create an invitation worthy of those memories.
